Photography by Appointment Only

For photography sessions in the sunflower field or around the farm please book an appointment. Hour-long sessions are $30 and you must bring your own photographer. Several props are provided including a vintage blue pickup truck, weathered rocking chair, hay bales, and a step stool.

GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES: These guidelines are intended for all guests that visit the farm.

  • Park in designated areas only.

  • Do not block entrances, pathways, or farm areas for use by others in any way. Do not climb on buildings or equipment without permission.

  • Do not move farm equipment, tools, or merchandise.

  • Do not pick fruit, produce, or flowers unless directed.

  • Pets are allowed on leash only and with advanced notice.

  • No drones allowed. Those caught flying a drone will be asked to forfeit the footage and will be asked to leave the property.

  • Please do not allow children to wander unattended.

  • No boudoir or nude photography allowed; this is a family friendly farm.

  • Pay attention to all signs and do not go in unauthorized areas.

  • Please be courteous of other guests and allow everyone the same photography opportunities.

  • Access to the farm/fields is by appointment only. There is a small fee for non-professional photography and the hours are limited to non-peak times.

  • Uneven ground, bees, and other critters are a natural part of farm life. Take this into consideration when choosing footwear and watch every step. The bees are more interested in the flowers than in people, but they can sting if provoked.

  • There may be a walk of up to several hundred yards from parking to the sunflower field.

  • Photography is not allowed in the buildings or barns.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY & GUIDELINES: We consider any formal photography (ex. Engagement, maternity, family portraits, etc.) to be professional/commercial photography and that requires a photography agreement and site fee. We have the right to determine if your shoot is considered professional photography and may ask any individuals to suspend their photographic activities.

  • Reservations are required for professional photo shoots.

  • Photographers must book an appointment at least 48 hours in advance. Arriving without a reservation may result in the refusal of entry due to previously scheduled events. To schedule a reservation please text (919)605-7542.

  • There is a sitting fee for professional photographers which is required to secure your time slot. This fee is non-refundable. Venmo is the preferred method of payment.

  • Juniper Creek Farm assumes no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any equipment or belongings.

  • Photographers and their clients must respect the fields. Clients may cut one flower per person. Juniper Creek Farm will not provide sheers/scissors for cutting. The photographer or client must bring their own.

  • Several props will be provided (ladder, chair, etc), but they must all be returned to the shelter of the barn or other designated location after use.

  • If photos posted on social media sites, Juniper Creek Farm requests location recognition be cited with the post.

  • Photographers must sign and return this document (farm rules and release of liability) before entering the farm/fields.

  • Photographers will be held accountable for their actions and those of clients, crew members, and subjects if they damage Juniper Creek Farm NC or The Adams Family farm facilities and property.

  • This policy is subject to change without notice.
